Hydro oil for dump trailer..

    What type sure I use for the reservoir. The stuff in it now is almost clear looking It's a PJ trailer.

    It doesn't say what weight of oil it takes ?

    Anyhow dip your finger into it if its real thin its probably 10 weight and like you said its clear so it maybe 10 weight its the cheapest you can buy.

    AW-46 is pretty much the heaviest and it will have a pinkish tinge to it.

    In hydraulics you can pretty much use any kind of oil except for engine oil.

    Might want to contact the maker of the trailer and ask, easy enough.
    Lots of hyd sytems now spec engine oil.

    Or automatic transmission fluid.

    We use atf in the plows, trailer, and truck hydraulics. It really makes things easy.

    Yep, it's hydraulic fluid with a red dye.
