Hydro or Gear

    hello all, i need help on whether to get a hydro or gear driven walkbehind. any input would be helpful

    If you have the extra money get a hydro.

    Get the Hydro, I still have 2 gear drives and dieing to get rid of them...Chuck

    I would go with the Hydro. Belt drives wear me out.

    thanks everyone, just one other question is what about fixed and floating decks, i am leaning towards floating from what i have read on them.

    Go with the adjustable deck...Just remember any deck is susceptible to scalping...Chuck

    can someone summarize the benefits of the hydro?

    does it have reverse where the others dont? i was watching a guy the other day and he was doin fine going forwards but anytime he had to back up he was yankin on that thing like he was fighting a stubborn pit bull or something

    No shifting!!!!! Instant forward and reverse. Exact speed that conditions will handle. No belt slippage from wet belts(rain or even morning dew in the grass). etc, etc, etc,....Chuck
