When you move the levers or hit a bump, the hydro's seem to jerk. So.....I replaced the dampeners yesterday. This did help some but the jerking motion is still there. It makes it hard to hold a straight line. What do you think my problems could be? It's on a 2001 Scag 61/27LC kawi w/1370 hrs. It's till under warrany until August. Please guide me in the right direction.

If it is still under warranty take it to your dealer. Sometimes when you do your own work on a warranty item it will void the warranty. Soem hydros are a little more sensitive than others so they will jerk a little.

Just a thought, make sure your freewheeling valves are tight, there located on your hydro pumps.

I have a Scag 36" w/b hydro, when I first got it, it was very sensitive it was a ***** to control, so I played with the adjustment knobs for tracking straight, I turned the knobs in the slow direction equally a little at a time and it made the mower much easier to steer. Hope this helps...
