Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Yes, the hydro performs better than the belt drive mowers. It will cost you a little more but it does perform better.

A hydro drive has positive drive in both forward and reverse. Wet conditions will effect the drive of a belt drive mower, a hydro will not be effected in the least. A hydro gives your more precise control, the ability to zero turn, causes less turf damage, smoother transitions between forward, reverse and turns. A hydro also will be more reliable, give you less downtime and be more productive as well.

Hydro's will spoil you. It's like jumping from your favorite old truck with manual steering, manual brakes and manual transmission into a ne 3/4 ton SuperDuty, Silveradow or Ram with power steering, power brakes and an automatic transmission.

Hydro's are nice too if your going to purchase a riding attachment. The drive system won't hardly even know your back there.

Don't get me wrong the belt drives are great machines just like that old truck, they'll do the job. But there are products that will do the job, do it faster and allow you to be more comfortable.
