Check out the Hylander from Gregson Clark. Rhet has been in the business himself and put this machine through the ringer for 3 years before putting it on the market. It's a little pricey, but I think it's well built.

    Anyone ever tried it?

That machine is so much like the patented Lawn Doctor machine. It is the only one that I know of (other than the Lawn Doctor machine) that has ground metering. This thing definitely looks like it would cover some ground. The only holdback I see, and this holds true with about all Z type machines that spray, is the boom being in the back. This is just going to give you alot of triming to be done, and/or alot of overlap/gaps. It is just SO much easier when the spray is out front where you can keep an eye on it.
