I have a rusty old mower, an edger and a truck. Is this enough to start?

In everyone's sigs I notice they have all this crazy equipment with trailers and what not. I'm 18 starting a lawn business and at this point I know little to none about landscaping and have minimal equipment. If I'm just in it to mow and edge lawns, do you think my current state is enough to start grabbing clients?

If everything runs, then that's all you need to mow, but don't forget about insurance license, work mans comp, etc

I'm guessing you mean I should get a blower for cleaning up. I think I can use someone elses until I get going. Is it necessary to have insurance before I even do my first job?

It's not in the budget right now if it doesn't have to be.

I wont get into insurance etc with you but yes, you will need a blower!
It takes longer to sweep a driveway, paths etc than it does to mow the lawn!

It all depends where you live, you have to check with your state's requirements on whether
you are required to have business liability insurance for what you will be doing.

You can probably ask the county clerk about this when you go get your business license,
she may or may not know the answer but someone down at the courthouse likely does.

    Peace out
