and now I have clumps of dead grass laying everywhere. My harrow is a dragging tine kind. All I am doing is dragging these clumps of dead grass around. Do I need to get rid of all of this dead grass. It seems like I should but it will take me forever to rake it all up by hand (the front yard is about a half an acre). Is there some sort of pull behind tool I can use to "comb" the yard and gather this stuff up or should I just leave it.
    Thanks for your help.

I use the spring type dethatcher behind the mower and behind it a lawn sweeper. Rakes and sweeps at the same time. If you don't have a sweeper the next choice I would use is a bagger. A choice I would not like at all is raking all that stuff by hand.
