I just purchased a XXWD2600 72in diesel and I like it alot but at the place I bought it I was in parts and the blades are not as heavy as John Deere 72in blades are there any aftermarket blades out there that are real durable and I have looked at the gator blades and they are flimsy to. Im just curious and thanks for the help I appreciate it!!

Your never going to find blades as thick as the JD blades. They were .310" thick! Most ZTR blades are .204 - .250. Thick blades tapped too much horsepower, and when the going got think, the blades really drug my JD's down.

Be happy though, They're MUCH easier to sharpen!!!
  3. Would you rather replace a $6 blade or a $100 spindle?

BTW the thinner the blade the better the cut.

What do you plan on hitting with those blades?

How's about explaining more about those $6 24" blades...

$10 may be more like it!!
