I am in South TX and have been presented the opportunity to bid on a new apartment complex going up with 22,750 yrds of sod being laid. The bid is for all the maintenance mowing, weedeating, blowing. I have several smaller properties commercial properties that I tend to now and I pretty much figure all my costs involved and then price from there. On hedging and pruning I charge 60-100 an hour depending on the project, sometimes I go $1 a ft. Would it be better to come up with an hourly rate or a per sq ft bid on something of this size.
