I need help setting blade height on my new scag. I'm new to this I've been cutting grass for many years now, but I never was the guy that set the blade height so I need some help.

I just bought it and I am trying to figure out the height settings based on the spacers on the blades and above the deck and on the fron caster wheels.

Got any good rule of thumb. Or chart to figure this out.

DEFINE, walk behind or rider if it is a rider set the height on the 3rd mark and take tape it should be 3 inches, now the spacers tell me what new unit you have.

Look in your owner's manual, there should be a page with a chart gives you the settings and heights down to 1/8" of an inch. It looks a bit like a spreadsheet, with the front + rear tire settings on the side, and the spacer definitions over top... Maybe the other way around, whatever.

At least with my Toro that is the case, if you do not have the owner's manual, see if you can download it from their website in .pdf format.
