I need my self propelled Lawn Boy to move faster. I replaced the cable for the self propell system and that didn't work. The mower is about 7 years old, and the motor is still strong, so I would hate to get rid of it.

Call a Toro dealer. I know those Lawn boy/Toro mowers are built to last. I have three of them one is as old as i am one is about 7 years old and one is about 2 years old. They all run strong. Maybe the dealer could lead you to a posible solution.

  5. Change pulley diameters. Extra 1/2 to 1" off the engine should do it. May take some experimenting to get what you want.

This'll do it but you will have to get another belt to fit of course ;)

    Crank up your RPM's.

Little white quarter sized disk on the carb. Give it a few clicks till you notice RPM's going up. This will help your cut quality as well.

    Good Luck
