Door hangers would be a better idea

Flyers or doorhangers. You just have to put a LOT out to get results.

Personally, myself as a homeowner, I'd be annoyed if someone knocked on my door to solicit me. One time I ran a Truegreen guy off my property who just walked up. That's just me though.

I think the best way to get clients is to put an add in the local paper. In my paper there is a classifieds section where its just for landscapers etc.

Door to Door will be more effective than doorhangers or flyers. By far....

    1. You are face to face with them
    2. You show confidence in your abilites
    3. You are meeting them now, not waiting for them to call
    4. It is different approach to all the other flyers and doorhangers they will recieve this srping

    5. Last, but not least, it is the cheapest way by far to gain new customers.

How many people want to be bothered in the evening after a long day's work? I'd guess not too many.

This can be done with a nice flyer including pictures of your work.

This could be construed as pressuring the homeowner. I'd rather let them contact me on their own time. If they're serious about having someone do lawn maintenance, they'll call you. If not, you're wasting your time anyways.

True, but I still say you'll annoy more people than anything.
