Coming into my second year, first year I just mowed and mulched that's it. This year I know I'll have some landscape work to do, so here is my question. I want to learn as much as I can about flowers, shrubs, orn. grasses, etc, etc. Can anyone recommend a GOOD refrence book that gives you a large array of plants specific to commercial landscaping, but also info that gives you the do's and don't and planting recommendations for each plant. I basically have the knowledge of a homeowner, but I really want to put together some nice beds for my customers. I would like to go back to school and learn, but thats just not possible with two jobs and three young girls. Also if anyone could recommend some good web sites that would be appreciated as well.

    Thank You

Colorado State University has a nice list on their turf site. some are regieon specific but others are pretty general.
