So a little over a month ago, on Sept. 22nd my brother and I did a small landscaping job for a couple close to where I live. Just mainly trimming bushes, some plantings, pine straw mulch, general cleanup, etc. They were really nice and thanked us for finishing the job they had tried to tackle. After completing it, they actually tipped us $100.00 which I thought was very nice and thanked them also.

I asked about the lawn maintenance and the husband said he took care of it himself, which I understood. So anyway, this past Sunday his wife called me to come out and cut the lawn 1-2 more times before winter sets in. I said sure, and she said her husband was shot and killed on Sept. 27th just days after we did the landscaping job. Wow...I really didn't know what to say. She said he was coming out of a store (On a business trip) and someone tried to rob him.

He was the one who insisted that we get the extra $100.00 for working so hard, what a nice guy that will be missed.

Sad for all involved. Not a pleasant way to get a new customer.
