i would like to match the correct seed(pic)

    here is my current grass

    i have some bare spots and i would like to keep the grass type the same.

    it appears to be kind of thin

    what type of grass do i have???????????

    p.s. don't mind the brown ends it hasn't rained here in like 4-5 weeks

    looks to be a blend of kentucky blue, rye and a fine fescue

    Take a sample to your local nursery or county extension office and see if they can identify the hybrid/type.

    there are no such areas around me.

    anyone else know? i doubt it's any type of hybrid!!

    looks like a sunny mix of blue/rye. be sure and buy a quality grass seed, you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to seed!

    Yep. couldn't agree more. What a great pic to identify this. It is mostly perrenial rye with a smaller percentage (maybe 30%) of KB. yu can see them both in the pic. Nice looking grass, by the way.

    most sunny mixes will have a majority of Ryegrass in them mixed with Bluegrass. As Runner indicated, it looks mostly like a P Rye mix, but you're the only one to know the actual location its to be planted.

    it will be in a very sunny place

    it also gets some heat from off of the house
