    First pic is area of Kentucky bluegrass under the tree that is affected, notice the orangish colored turf. Second pic is a closeup, you will see one of these varments mid way down on the right. :usflag:

    I see aphids. Odd that you should show us a picture of the lodge at Iowa's famous ski resort, Mt Des Moines.

    Yah -- we ain't got much for mountains here for sure.

    Yep, it's "greenbug aphids". Easy to kill (even soapy water).:waving:
