To small to be a Boll weavil ?
P.M. me so I can get a cool motion caption in my signature too!!
I think it's a boll weevil, I only see them in the late Spring and Summer.
After all these years in insect control..........I can't even spell Boll Weevil!!
I guess them Weevils in B.C. are huge. That is why I responded that it looks like the bill bug....! Do you see them on the lawns or around the shrubs and trees.
P.M. me on that signature trick!!!........Please!
I've only ever seen them in my parent's basement, and now they are making their way upstairs, my Mom does have some serious flower arrangements in the house, she cuts the flowers from our gardens and makes the arrangements for the church every Sunday, so I am wondering if that's where they come from
My signature kitties can be found here:
Not trying to be a know-it-all...but... the Boll weevil comes by it's name for one reason. A Cotton Boll (bloom). So, unless they're growing cotton in British Columbia or in their basement (Rumor has it that's not what they're growing in British Columbia) then it must be some other type of Billbug.
Hey now!---That would be the British Columbian Bean-Boll Weevil???? LOL!
I'll have to look at it again........It may be a Tiger Beetle too!
I got another pic of another one last night before it met the untimely demise from my sponge Bob square pants slippers:
Look up the tiger beetle, and there you go!!!
I dunno, tiger beetles are longer, this one is short and maybe 6 mm in length.
