I'm looking for some new ways to advertise. I currently have a 1"x1" ad in the local paper, a facebook page, and I sent out some pretty nice postcards thru a thing called Every Door Direct Mail that USPS does. Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm considering a website....where do I start?

I write down addresses I want to service as I'm out doing my route or as new neighborhoods are being built, I then hand address a post card to them.

You're going to have to come down to earth if you're short on customers.

Definitely get a website, then Google adwords. When I want to work I start it up, when I get enough work I stop my ads, when I want to work I start it up.... you get the idea. Its literally like pushing a button and getting calls. I also have a very high ranking on Google Places which helps.

What I tell every telemarketer who calls me...

If the product or service you're selling is as good as you say you would have no need to advertise.
If your product or service were any good you would not be calling me.
If your product or service was really worth something it is I who would be calling you!

They don't seem to get it, I rather doubt I have ever gotten through to the first one of them.

But there's your advertising, give the customer their money's worth and every dime of it, give them that and throw in some extras and keep doing that and soon you'll never be short on work. Nothing beats hard work, no amount of money, technology and fancy gizmo advertising can counter hard work, there exists no substitute, no better way to get your name out there than giving the customer every thing they asked for and then some.

    Everything else...
And I mean everything else is a pile of steaming horse manure.

When you're first starting out you have to advertise. A website is the best way. A sign on your truck is the 2nd best way IMO.

You have to have customers to be able to satisfy them. I only have 25 accounts
