Another county in Wisconsin is set to review DuPont's settlement offer during their Natural Resource Committee Meeting on June 7, 2012 at 8:30AM regarding the tree damage at the county owned Mee-Kwon Park Golf Course.

Wish some more LCO's would comment, it got quiet and we know they are dealing with damage and complaints. Any LCO's suing Dupont? Has to affected your business and life.

In Ohio the Dept of Ag holds your insurance "proof" to retain your license and you have to maintain certain limits., It may vary per carrier how this would be handled if submitted as a claim.

LOL! Indeed, getting bored waiting for DuPont to send their resolution offer while I stare at my dead landscape. Kind of like watching paint dry, but with this its one needle drop at a time. LOL. Idle time makes Starbuy a dull boy.

Just received a call to my office from DuPont. They stated the offer amount is visible on their screen (not those you call into through the main #), but they can't disclose it. It might be mailed overnight in about 1 to 3 weeks. Also, they confirmed none of the resolutions guarantee any timeframe from the time you sign to the time you are compensated (not 30 days to pay, 1 year, 5 years, upon your death, etc.). That kills the deal for sure.

They just want to see who bites on these lowball, seemingly no guarantee of timely compensation offers. Some are happy with it, especially those who may never even notice the tree missing, like many county/city owned golf courses, where the land is so vast, or those who just don't care to replace anything or don't care about receiving premium quality trees, shrubs, plants or getting privacy back (or those who just have no idea the true value of their loss). I understand why they're doing it this way, but to push so many of us into the court process, which will be more costly for them, is in my opinion bad business and bad for the shareholders. Oh well, glad I don't own that stock.

Good morning Lawnsite users! I have decided on a very good law firm to represent me without the class action. They are representing hundreds of individual cases which include homeowners, golf courses, lawn care operators, landscape professionals and have the best fees I've seen (I've been searching for months). They also have teams in place from scientists and arborists to many other fields and universities. If you are a member here and want to PM me for details feel free to do so. I know of people that are still waiting after 6 months from signing DuPont's resolution who have not yet seen any compensation. That tells me a lot. All those who feel comfortable continue the direct resolution process, I sincerely wish you the best and hope you have the satisfactory outcome you desire in the future. Some are fine with that and I'm not critical of your decision. I will continue to interact here until the time I reach a settlement or when I'm in court, at that time I won't be able to say anything more unless it goes all the way to trial and a judgement is issued (in that case there's usually no gag order after the case is complete).
