I 've been searching for a few hours online for a ROPS for my wheel loader. We've got a cab for the machine but would like to take it off for better visibility. We were discussing how we could chop it up with a plasma cutter, but we really hate to do that in case we change our minds. IT's a 1975? Allis Chalmers 840B wheel loader. I know that there are salvage yards out there without a web presence or even those with poor representation. Hopefully someone can get me headed in the right direction. Thanks

Didn't realize that Machinery Trader had a section for dismantled machines. Kinda looks hopeful, but if anyone has any other resources that would be great.

There is a salvage yard around here, Thrill Tractor? I think.

I've never ran a open rops loader, that would be different.

    Try these guys: http://www.csiparts.com/

Ask for Kelly. If he doesn't have it, there's a good chance he can find one.

Not sure if they would have what you are looking for or not, but I know there are a few over there in your neck of the woods. I always pass a few on my way south. There are two of them just south of Red Bud, in between Red Bud and Ruma. Also there is one I think between Evansville and Ellis Grove. They have tons of old stuff.
