I know someone who's uncle used to be in this business. About 7-8 years ago he noticed a toro WB on one of his customers porches. He eventually bought it for $100.00, brought it to his house, and left it on the back porch. He said he never never used it and eventually got out of the business.
I have purchased used things from him before and with a $15.00 repair, got them working good as new.
Well, This mower is a 36" cut, I think I could manage to get it for a $500-$600.00 price range. I have the opportunity to pretty much strip it down and get it running and test it out before I buy it. Even though he hasnt used it, it is an older model and I want to be on the safe side.....
I have the opportunity to take it apart. With that being said, What would you check for? What parts of the engine for engine or carb wear? Are 5-10 year old toro wb hard to find parts for? If it was in good shape, would you pay that much for one this old?
