Thank you so much for this post! :)

Eric was in his prime when I joined and I've yet to meet anyone more passionate in their work. I had an entry level Dixie Chopper, 50" deck, 17 hp Kohler and after reading Eric's posts I adjusted the deck height and tried double blades in hopes of striping like him. Of course I couldn't but I did stripe better and that little 17hp would handle double blades in dry grass. I got 10 years good service out of that DC 1701 and if I had a do-over I'd never have traded it to a new Grasshopper 226V. Eric's DC maintenance tips should be printed and saved by all DC owners.

RIP Eric Elm. You are missed and well remembered.

It's hard to believe that when those pics of Eric's were taken (2000-2002) I was only 10-11 years old.

Fabulous work by both Eric and TerraCare.

Here are a few pics of the master himself.

It's sad that it always has to be about the money.

You can tell from his posts that he loved what he done and enjoyed helping people. He was very well liked and respected by many on here.

The phrase "often imitated, seldom duplicated" certainly comes to mind.

I first met Eric on Lawnicure which was a predecessor to HallofForums and Lawnsite.

    That means you're REALLY old.

Thanks, I forgot all about that.
