There is definitly a market for tilling gardens. I'm not sure about planting and maintaining vegetables though. Many people who have these garden don't like tilling them in the spring and fall because they don't like own a good tiller or they don't have the strength to do it if they are elderly. I don't own my own tiller but i've used friend's tillers to do mine and have had people in the neiborhood hire me to do their's. At some point i'm going to purchase one and offer tilling as a service. Mantis tillers are great for small spaces and Troybulit front wheel drive tillers are good for large gardens. I've used them both and they did an excellent job.

We have 2 customer that we every year for the past 5 years plant tomatos, frying pepers, etc...... its a 4x4 area in the yard we rototill it and plant it for them then they do the rest them self. We charge them around $75.00 per season I just do it to make them happy my wife and I have a 20'x30' garden and she does all the seeds her self. Im sure if you get some more people that want it im sure you can make a few extra dollars

Yes vegetable gardens are a great way to set yourself apart from the mob. If you are servicing full service upscale clients its not about how much it costs. Its about watching things grow and picking veggies with your kids in the few spare moments you have with them. They will appreciate that more than any green lawn or stripes you can deliver.
