Put the homemade striping kit on my 52 lazer z. How high compared to cutting height should the roller be set at? I'm cutting mostly kentucky blue in Mi.How much does cutting height effect striping. Cutting at 3.5 i'm not getting any kind of effect. Does pitch effect striping? Striping setup is with the industrial roller mounted to the antiscalp roller brackets on backside of deck. THANKS

GENERALLY speaking...the roller should pretty much hit the ground. Cutting height is the MOST important part of striping regarding a rotory mower. Striping is from layover. I don't know your mower, but we remove blade washers to get more layover. Striping without rutting is an art...no roller is needed..it does however require an understanding of the different grass types and how they grow under different conditions.
