    hi, im mike and have been cutting grass now for a few years but nothing real serious. just this year i have picked up a few new accounts and i think it is time for some insurance and because im going for a commercial account.
    would anybody be able to tell me what insurance costs
    and a bussiness liscense
    and a peddlers permit


    i need all the help i can get

    Name registration 25.
    Vendors license 50.
    Or vise versa, can't remember.
    Insurance will vary depending on coverage and location.
    Best rates I've found are at Erie. About 250.
    Got my commercial truck ins. from them also.

    Yes, Erie has the best I've seen. I pay $235 a year. They have a separate category for lawn maintenance, whereas most insurance cos. will lump you in with landscapers using heavy equipment (potential for hitting pipes, gas lines, you get the picture).

    Call your county or town government center for info on registering your biz and any other pertinent info.
