Iowa Pesticide Laws

    Correct me if I am wrong. Iowa only requires you to keep proper records and the proper posting signs. This is all I can fin on the IDOLS web site. Do other states require more than this at the time of application. I want to make sure I am following all laws after all the work and expense I have put into this already.

    Also keep applicable pesticide labels in your truck in case there is some kind of spill. Fire fighters need to know this.

    Two things I've always considered odd:

    1) The state doesn't care if you burn or kill lawns with fertilizer.

    2) The pesticide applicator's liscense is easy to get, and many of the questions have nothing to do with most LCO's. In fact, one can test everyday until he passes (just like a driver's liscense).
