hey everyone one of my regular customers has been asking me to install some irrigation tubing in his backyard becuase the water build up is killing his birch trees... i live in NJ, and i was wondering what anyone would charge to install this kind of material.... it's about 400' worth of the perforated piping... including the sock the fabric the corse stone at the bottom of the ditch then some top soil... aside from all that... does anyone out there charge a certain $ per hour? or charge by the squarefoot...(lineal>?) let me know?

This is the irrigation forum, not drainage.

Must be a TON of water to kill birches, they grow along the river down here and thrive. Have to ask - where is all the water coming from?

That all said, I charge $10.00 per lineal foot for sock pipe, plus 2x the cost of the gravel, plus 3x the cost of the erosion cloth UNDER the gravel. Might be the reason we do very little drainage work - of course this being Florida things drain pretty well on their own.
