I called a guy onthe phone about an ad in the paper. Its a 2yr old Kees Walk behind 32" with a 12.5hp motor (kawasaki I think he said it was). Thats about all I know right now. He says its in good shape, he want 1k for it. Im gonna go look at it but I wanted your opinion. Is 1k a fair asking price for this mower.

What should I look for when I go look at it?

or I can get a '99 - 36" gravely with 400hrs, for about 700. I talked to the owner and he said it needs a new transmission belt which is about 25 bucks, and the reverse doesnt work for some reason. Says he doesnt know why.

Since Im just starting out in the bizz and $ is tite im wondering if I shouldnt get this one instead. If it lasts me through the season It will pay for itself.

Besides, I still have to purchase a trailer. Im selling my small utility to help offset the cost a little.

Parts for both can kees and gravely can be purhcased localy.

Your input will greatly help my decision. Please.
