Is compitition good for an industry?

    You hope the will die off and go out of business but then another fool picks right up.

    I was in a quoin class last night and they talked about how banks hate to loan money to construction companies. My theyroy is because many of them are run buy hard working and talented people who have no clue as to run a business. As a result many go broke.

    Also they get allot of money all at once. Some don't know how to handle it. They also get screwed by there customers to.

    A point that hasn't been solidified about competition is it's inherent effect to market forces.
    Competition can cause increased attention to a particular market segment, this is quite obvious.
    However, an aspect of competition is that through increased attention the customer base itself becomes more knowledgeable.
    Businesses that fail to continue with education, either scholastically or self driven often fall victim to a customer base realizing the contractors' short-comings.
