Is it possible to put a streetbike engine in a mower

    My friend is a streetbike nut and when he pulled his motor out of his scag he said there might be a chance and wants to try it.

    Sure he can if he can fab up some gears and stuff. Make sure he keeps the maximum RPM down around 3600-3800. The hydros on mowers aren't designed to operate above that. It could get messy with blowing seals, hoses and stuff like that.

    I once considered doing that with a 500cc Honda motorcycle engine, but I wanted to use it on a truck loader. I figured for the price of a 16hp vacuum the time and effort would probably not be worth it.
