    its getting pretty dry and hot here in northern ohio.

    If it is hot and dry, I would wait and spot spray the day before it is going to rain.

    If it's going to get over 85 degrees and it is real dry where you are I would concentrate on spot spraying for now and maybe doing the final weed kill in the Fall when conditions favor weed control.
