With Toro no longer producing the 2 stroke Suzuki engine on the Proline 21" series, will they also be dropping the Duraforce engine on the Lawnboy mowers or is a new version of the engine on the way?

From what we know, the production of the two cycles stopped last spring.
Worst of all, Lawnboy doesn't even offer a four stroke with pressure lube.
Buy whatever you can still find leftover at dealers. We did. We bought our dealers last four, and we're looking for more.

Thanks for the replies. I currently have a commericial Lawnboy. Would parts still be available for the unit or a replacement engine should the need arise?

    Replacement parts for 10 years.
Guaranteed for 10 years, that's straight from lawnboy.

They do have a lot of engines on stock, but when they run out, that's it. That's at least what the lawnboy rep said.
  8. Even though the engine has been banned in Ca., we are still able to get replacement short blocks.

In case people didn't know, You can thank TORO for L-B troubles.

Toro came out with a personal pace model here in CA. a couple of years ago, went to a trade show last month, and there was a new L-B model.. Exactly the same thing as the Toro model except it was the green L.B. colors.

Well Hopefully the new lawnboy I bought about 2 years ago will last many years. I only use the machine about 15 minutes a week on hills that are just to steep for a walk behind to be used on.
