is mowing in the rain bad for your mower/blades. should i mow in the rain or not>??
I don't know if it's bad but I am sure it's not 'good' for it
It has its on set of problems
grass sticks to the spindles and deck
if it doesnt stick it clumps or if your bagging it can clog the chute
and it doesnt leave as good of a cut when your done
I try to avoid it
yeah dont mow in the rain!
light rain is ok but if it starts clumping forget it. Also if you cut wet grass, be sure to clean under the deck before you cut the next day.
Cleaning under the deck is the worst...wet grass is like glue!!!
We have just started getting some recently and to be honest I had forgotten what a nice rain shower looked like.
Also, if youre on a rider and in wet grass sometimes you can leave lil tire tracks in the yard....they dont go away after it dries, they will actually dry as tire tracks.
if you want to, go ahead, but have fun cleaning underneath the mower when your done...
