We have a Kentucky Bluegrass lawn with a nasty weed/grass that has been identified possibly as Tall Fescue or Quack Grass. There is too much to dig out or spot treat, I am told to either live with it or kill the entire lawn and start over.

If it is Tall Fescue I was going to treat it with TFC, tall fescue control also known as Corsair. Anybody familiar with this, had any results to share or advice.

If it is Quack grass, I'm under the impression that you cannot treat it with any selective herbacide. Anyone know of a treatment that won't kill the blue grass?

The only thing I can find to get rid of the quack grass without killing the blue grass is to use a side swipe soaked in Round-up. Anybody ever try this before?

Do a search. Plenty of great info in the archives. And most of it won't be repeated.
