I'm looking for a general use pressure washer. One for maybe power washing a driveway, maybe a house but not for commercial use. I have one for commercial use.. this thing has its own trailer.. but i just need something to have around the house. Something small, and gets the job done well. The first place i went to look was northern tool. Have any of you used the 6Hp honda power wash? Any thoughts on this before i go out and buy it? Heres the link.. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200241274_200241274 Any feedback would help.

Looks like an excellent pw for what you need it to do. I have a 6.0 Honda 2750 psi/2.5 gpm, it gets used around the shop and commerically = driveways, patios etc.. Its going on 3 yrs old and has paid for itself many, many times over.

Not bad,the life of a power washer is to have water flowing thru the pump at all times i buy open guns or you can tape a gun open these things will last forever doing this.

How about this one? This one is just about the same as the other one, but i think this one is suppose to be used professionally. It has the commercial honda engine and a high quailty pump. It also comes with free shipping. The next step up from this one is 700.00 Not really sure if i should go with the 700.00 one though. How long do these pumps usually last for? heres the link to the new one for 569.00 http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200241324_200241324

The Honda GX160 will outlast the pump! Years and years of worry free operation. This is the one to get. Good price too.

    She's a money maker, I tell ya!

LOL yea.. the engine is pretty good. I have about 8 honda engines. They all range between 5hp to an 500cc motorcycle. They are nothing but the best. Any other opinions?

i have a 5 year old northern with the gx160. we use it to wash the fleet year round. probably have about 40 different guys using it and it still holds up. I have trained the guys to let the water flow thru the pump and hose before they start the engine.

I was looking for one for my house and what i understand is the gc engine is lighter duty, the gx's are commercial.

569 isnt too bad. i paid about 400 5+ years ago with a national account.

I DO PRESSURE WASHING AS A LARGE PART OF MY BUSSINESS AND HAVE HAD HONDAS AND BRIGGS ENGINES. THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENT: i FOUND THE BRIGGS ENGINES TO BE JUST AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN THE HONDAS. IN FACT I HAD A HONDA ENGINE DIE ON MY ON A JOB OUT OF TOWN , LATE ONE EVENING, ONLY CHOICE I HAD WAS A SEARS CLOSE TO THE JOB. I BOUGHT A $300.00 CRAFTSMAN 2350 PSI WITH A BRIGGS ENGINE THAT HAD SOME TYPE OF "NEW EASY START TECHNOLOGY" , AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT THING HAS BEEN USED ABOUT 40 HOURS A WEEK, WITH NO PROBLEMS. IT IS NOW 3+ YEARS OLD WITH ABOUT A HUNDRED TIMES THE AMMOUNT OF USE TIME THAT THE AVERAGE PERSON USES ONE AND IT STILL STARTS ON THE FIRST PULL AND HAS NEVER EVER EVEN HICCUPED WHILE RUNNING . I DO HOWEVER KEEP METICULOUS MAINTNENCE ON IT AS I DO ON ALL MY EQUIPMENT
