Is this Ryan Lawnaire 28 worth $2000 in your opinion? I have offered $1500 -- but he won't budge off of $2000 price.

I have heard lots of good things about the Ryan Lawnaire 28 -- but I have only used drum type aerators -- with mixed results.

    • Purchased new in 1994 and used by solo op since then
    • Assured that the machine does not burn any oil and starts easily every time
    • Wisconson Robin air cooled engine (7.5hp)

I just need someone to tell me I'm crazy or that it is a good deal. Should I keep looking or go ahead and give him 2g's?

nope, I think that you offered a very reasonable price for him.

Maybe try a little mind tricks with him...

Ask him again "I was looking at another one the other day and the price difference wasn't that much, but I am looking at saving some money in the mean time. Is there anything that we can do about the price, because I would like to have this one but then again if you don't want to come down on the price I will just go out and buy a brand new one for a couple of hundred more that I know will last me longer than this will"

I am sure that he will change his mind.

Because the price difference for a new one and that one are not that much of a difference I feel.

    A new lawnaire 28 is 4500.00

So the difference is 2500 -- that is substantial.

I know its a big difference...but the big question is whether or not he knows that...beside you said it was a 94 model. Sorry to tell you, but just like cars, the value of something goes down over time.

    I passed -- I don't think it was worth 1900.

I called today and I think I'm going to get a Plugr from Rock Solid - brand new Pl600 for 2245!

Thanks for everyone who helped keep me sane :dizzy:
