Is this logo professional looking enough?

The only problem with the last one is that you can't tell it's a Landscaping company just by looking at it, which is one of my main objectives.

Does the Walmart logo scream retail? Scott's scream fertilizer? Lifetime scream basketball or folding table? Rubbermaid scream Tupperware? HP scream computer? 3m scream scotch tape or post it?

You can brand that image to scream lawn care if you think big and long term.

But do whatever floats your boat.

The gold star and lettering looks good.
You could overlay it on a manicured lawn for Business cards, vehicle graphics etc...

    I like the last one.

With that logo on the side of a truck or trailer, people will have no problems knowing what you do.

Sure it doesn't have grass in the second one, but, you might ending branding yourself as a strait lawn guy and will inhibit other growth points in your biz, such as mulching, landscaping, hedge pruning, etc...

That's a good point. I'll go with the last one, then. Unless I can come up with something else. If I do, I'll post it, but I think I'm sticking with this one.

    Thanks everyone.

I feel it's good to be some what creative with your logo. You want to stand out from all the other LCO's with navy, red, green, maroon, grass in logo, etc....

I unfortunately took my logo a little to far on the creative side, and has taken a little time to establish a reputation, but, it stands apart from the crowd. I also would love to open a garden center some day and the name will go with it very well.
