A customer and I seem to have a discrepancy. He wrote me a little note:

    "Tom

What's up w/the $125 for Tree/Shrub trimming? If the charge refers to the Wisteria, that's not a tree it's a shrub according to websters. The contract I signed says that "shrub prunning and/or shearing" is covered by the $247 monthly fee."

    My response:

"Dear Mr. & Mrs. So & So,

That Wisteria is not your typical shrub. I thought I made it clear when we talked about trimming it last year that it would be billed as an extra. Maybe not? So, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. That monstrosity (see websters) took 3 hours to trim, plus hauling and dump fee.

    Thanks,
    Tom"

Am I being to harsh or too much of a smart azz?

    LOL ! Now that's funny!

The note oughta be good for a firing here in LA, with a good possibility of a bonus azz-kickin' !

You can take the boy out of New York but you can't take the New York out of the boy.

Seriously.. Is it over the edge?

Anytime you tell a customer to "look it up" it's rude, dude.
