Issues with Z-Spray Max

    Hey guys not sure if this is the right place to post this but we have been having some issues with our Z-Spray Max. Whenever it is damp or gets a little bit wet such as driving through grass with dew on it or if it is drizzling a little our machine starts backfiring almost like it is only running on one cylinder. the coils on it have gotten extremely rusted, we replaced them once and are looking for an alternative fix instead of replacing these once a year. Just wondering if there have been any similar issues with anyone else and if anyone has any more permanent fixes. Thanks!

    You keep blowing ignition coils? Yuck. Not an easy repair at least on my Kaw FH430V. I just replaced the stator and flywheel so I was all over the coils.

    Are you sure the coils are the problem? Did replacing them fix it? For how long.

    Fertilizer and fertilizer dust strongly attracts moisture. Try to find a way to protect it from the dust. Or somehow keep it clean. And dry. New plugs will fire better. Perhaps an automotive wire-drying spray will keep you going if the problem crops up in the field.

    The ignition coils are under the fan shroud next to the flywheel and you can't get to them without taking the shroud off at least.
