The starter motors for these trucks are expensive. The rebuilt ones average at around $290. Does anybody know where I can get parts to rebuild these starter motors? Has anyone done this?

rebuild parts might be available on ebay,or your local starter rebuild shop if they are willing to sell them to you .I wouldnt bother doing one myself ,its not worth it if you screw it up and it leaves you stranded somewhere .

Not worried about doing it myself. I am having trouble finding the parts. My local rebuild shop is not going to tell me where they get theirs. ebay has them, but not for my truck - so far. Maybe I will call one of those guys ans see if they can help.

My local Isuzu dealer doesn't have the kits, but he can order the individual parts. I'll take the starter apart and figure out what I need.
