Great engine, simple to service, loves to work and very good on fuel. Gas hit $3.80 her'e yesterday, diesel will exceed $4.today. The chevy & ford are not so good on fuel, trying to do as much as possible with the isuzu!

i am looking at an older isuzu with the 175 hp turbo. how do you guys that have one think it would do towing about 12,000 lbs of trailer? it seems like it shouldn't be a problem for it. thanks for the help.

I used to drive a '91 npr at my previous job and didn't like the lack of power. I used to put the pedal to the floor and could barely get over 65 on a flat highway and the only thing on the truck was a sprayer, usually empty. I don't have experience with other Isuzus so I don't know if this is typical for them or if others might actually have power.

The isuzu isn't going to like pulling anything! They can take some weight on the chassis, but mine doesn't like pulling 5k lbs.
