How about Iowa Hill, CA? They are just now getting phone service, and still have no electrical service. :clapping:

Punch Bug was the game us kids played in the car back in the 60's. And a contraption like that was worth a triple.

    Am I close? :waving:

It would be right at home here, or up the road in Rackerby.

There were a few of those buses I saw at the Rainbow Gathering in NM in '77. I think I saw the same one there and at the lot at Shoreline in the early 80's too. It was a VW bug on top of a VW bus, on top of a school bus. Painted white and emblazoned with some wings and a logo of sorts that said "Prairie Eagle"... at least that's how I remember it...

humbug, forks of the salmon, somes bar, ligget, denny, big flat, beegum (rest its soul), ponderosa, mill creek (year round population, 1) igo, ono.........the list of micro communities goes on and on. one of the only reasons to stay in ca. is some of the small communities where people still take care of themselves, the old fashion way.

    i don't think i named a berg with a hundred people in it. :)

Ah ha! You see, there's a age difference here. In the sixties, I was playing games in the back seat, but of a different sort.
