i cut back quite a few jacaranda trees off of the fence line for one of my commercial accounts to get them off of the fence and out of the barb wire but my concern is if they will grow back from where i cut or not? should i put tar or paint on the cut to prevent them from growing back or will they never grow back? does anyone out there know?
    or any suggestions?

The tree will sprout out from where you cut them, no need to paint or tar any of it.

You can kill them by applying Round Up Pro 41% as soon as you cut it down. Use a paint brush and paint it on full strength. I never paint cuts with anything, in fact it is recommended that you don't.
