I have been having some trouble with the ole lesco lately wanting to "pull its own weight";). I've done belt maintenance and replaced them as needed but there just seemed to be more slippage than there used to be.

The guys at lesco finally talked me into changing the jackshaft pulleys. I could really tell that the old ones were worn after I looked at them good.

now the ole lesco is pulling like a fresh mule. I shoudda took the guys at lesco for their word sooner. I'm not saying they know it all but they were sure right this time.

I waited to post this so that I could get an idea of how the new pulleys gripped the belt in dry dusty times. I'm happy to report that it pulls great under all conditions so far (wet and dry and dusty).

it is so dry in my area that I'm reminded of the downside of the cutting business.
