    I own a old Jacobsen Gt16 Hydro Tractor with a kwick way loader and i am getting ready to start working on the motor and i wanted to know where i can find some info for this machine.I am looking for owner/operators manuals and possibly a parts manual.I Have tried ebay with no luck.All i know is that it has a 16HP Kohler motor.

    Any help is appreciated

    Sorry for the long delay.Yesterday me and my cousin were cutting down some trees and working in my backyard.He was using the loader to cut back a hill and while i was out he said he was trying to ripp up an old stump and said that the motor started acting funny and then he said it made a loud pop and now when i try and start it it justmakes a whinnig noise like the starter or somethings broke. i checked the oil and i cant even get a reading onit.But igot the nubers off the engine so here they are.

    Serial #6126247
    Model#-K341AS
    Spec#-N1111A.
    The Engine is a kohler
    These numbers were on the motor so any help is appreciated ineed to get this machine up and running again before winter gets here..

    Thank

    You can get most parts from any Kohler dealer, You can call this place with all your numbers in hand and see what they offer for a replacement;

    But, Be sitting down these old K's are expensive.

    Thanks alot for the link restrorob, I am not going to rebuild the engine because the motor has to be atleast 30 years old and where not sure what type of damage is done to the block.I found this motor of off Northern tool and it is basically the same engine that i got.

    It has the horizontal shaft coming out of it which is crucial for running the loader hydraulic pump.Also would it hurt if i decide to got to a 20 hp engine or diesel motor the same hp.

    Thanks

    You can install any engine you want on this unit, Just make sure you have ample room, Any bolt holes in the block (for hydro pump mounting) and the crankshaft size/length is the same as your old "K" series.
