Hi All - new to the forum

    I am looking at a Jacobsen T 528 D 72" deck, Kubota 28 hp diesel {1200 hrs } excellent cond.

I have never owned this brand. How well does the hydraulics work especially since the deck is driven by this? How do they rank with other brands?

I was going to use this as a back up mower What do you think this is worth $$?

    thanks to all in advance
  2. I'd rank them dead last in the commercial mower market. Not that they're not a good deal, but they're pretty cheap. I've looked at a few "Jakes" but didn't buy any of them.

I bought a Toro spec'd like your Jake, and paid $6,000 for it. So I'd say the Jake is worth less, but then I prefer Toro.

Why don't you call the Jacobsen dealer and ask him what it's worth? Nobody on here has heard of Jacobsen.

I have owned/operated several Jacobsen Turf Cats over the years.
Looks wise they are slightly different than the Toro Series GroundMasters I have also used - maintenance wise they are much easier to gain access due to the belt drive system.

Depending upon the actual model year I'd say $4500-$5000 should be about right unless you get the flail set up with the rotary deck, if so add another $1K - those flail decks are great.
