is it possible to front mount an aerator to the front of a 318 john deere? and have it lifted by hydrolics?

i has hydraulics already plumbed into the front of the machine.

i wouldn't go very wide with it possiblt a 36" aerator

Sure you could. Might take some welding and fitting to make it all work.

would this be too much weight and strain on the front of this machine.

would it bounce around and shake everything apart.

If it was mounted or towed at the back of the machine you would have better traction.

Often blades and snow blowers are mounted on the front of machines like 318's. I have even seen small loaders on such machines. Weight will be a major factor.

Why not get the already available three point hitch for the back? No fabrication, and the function is proven by history.

I use mine on the back of a 455 and it works like a champ.

Turfco 42" (discontinued for some insane reason).

I like the looks of the ProAire in another current thread.
