My JD 4400 Isn't getting fuel past the injection pump. The tractor had been sitting for a couple years, I drained the fuel changed filters, lines, etc. and now it won't start. If I give it a wiff of wd40 it'll run, but i'm not getting any fuel out of the injector lines. I've tried bleeding them with the plunger to no avail. The soleniod has a loud click and i'm getting over 12 volts at it with the key on so I don't think it is the solenoid or thermistor. I'm getting fuel to the pump.

If i crack open either line on the pump fuel comes out, but it won't come out of the injector line no matter what i do.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks, Mike

I think there is a screen in the inlet of the pump. Just something to check. Does anything come out the bleeder valve? You have to be positive the solenoid isn't stuck. That might mean removal for inspection.

Well I inspected it some more. Looks like the fuel pump isn't running. I've got a good ground and 7.5 volts on the thing outside the tank. Nothing changes when the key is turned on. I guess this explains why there is no pressure. I switched the relay and cleaned the contacts. Anyone have wiring diagrams?

I can fix a powerstroke all day but these little tractors are kicking my ... lol

Where is the actual bleeder valve bud? I took the solenoid off and cycle it its not stuck. Disregard the voltage that was for the level sensor. I have 12.xx volts at the solenoid plug. I have fuel coming out of all the lines but the injectors. I couldn't find a screen.

I don't think it actually has a fuel pump either I think its just gravity fed. I took the black mechanical pump apart couldn't find anything wrong with it
