Here's a pic of the lawn after I mowed it with the JD 757. No striping kit on it but I think it looks pretty good (except for the darn clover!).

    Looks good.

I've been trying to work on my striping...any tips? I use a 36" Wright Stander....fun to operate, but still learning the tricks of the trade.

Well, since I don't have a striping kit on the mower I'm using, I can' t offer any advice other than to say that stripes are more pronounced with a higher cut height. The grass in the pic was cut at 2.75 inches. When the grass was thicker (we've been without rain now for over a week and it's been HOT), I usually mow about 3" and the lusher/greener the grass the better the effect.

And of course, you have to go down and back with each pass working your way across the lawn to get stripes as well. Otherwise, you wouldn't get the side-by-side effect of the grass being bent one way and then over the opposite way with each down/back pass.

    Hope this helps.
