Thought I would make a post that isn't beating up the 800 series Deere's.

After 50 hours on my 820, they came today and switched it out for the 830. Since the dealer did the pulley upgrade on my 820, it really wasn't bad on power, but the 830 has the extra 2hp, and is supposed to have the "product enhancement kit" from the factory.

These pics are from the 820, with 54" mulching deck, and striping kit.

What did you have to give for your 820?

I work for a hospital so we got $2500 discount and I think we ended up paying $7900 with mulch kit, suspension seat, and stripe kit. It cost us $1300 to trade up to the 830.

Although I only had 50 hours on the 820, and didn't have any problems except it could have used a little more power, I didn't have anything break on it like a lot of other guys. Anxious to see how the 830 holds up with more hours on it.

I've got an 830 and i'm well pleased with it so far. It's got the best cut i've ever seen in my life!! 60" deck and it refuses to scalp. Your pics are awesome, I might look into a striping kit myself. Keep up the good work.

Wish we could stripe centipede like that. The grass down here (Gulf Coast) is too coarse and tough; it just won't lay down.
